A couple of times a year I get to indulge in the eye candy that is glossy decorating magazine Queensland Homes, moonlighting as the title’s subeditor. In this freelance role, I fine-tune and fit features, write headlines and captions, fact-check all copy and collaborate with the editor on cover lines.
